Tot Romp

This morning Dave apparently gave Georgina pure sugar for breakfast because she was running around the house in circles just screaming (I'm not positive he did but she was exceptional today). I packed up the girls and brought them to tot romp, an indoor playground organised at the community centre for daily drop ins, in the hopes of burning off all that energy. We met up with Georgina's good friend Jackson and his little brother Oliver.

Miriam drove around
 While G did some climbing
Miriam scooted
While G worked on her balance beam skills. Look at that form!
Miriam played with Oliver
And Georgina played with Jackson
The parachute was the highlight.

Both girls fell asleep as soon as we got home so I would say it was a success! That or G was crashing from her sugar high. Here's a video summery of the day.

Georgina Dancing

Since she was a baby Georgina has loved music. She would only fall asleep if Dave sang to her for an hour until she was a year and a half. She would only tolerate a car ride if someone was singing Wheels on the Bus nonstop. And still now, if we're having a bad day, turning on some music turns the  whole day around. Check out her moves she's been honing since the day she was born.

3 Year Old Birthday Party!

This past Saturday we went to Georgina's best friend's birthday. Leo turned 3!!! There was a bouncy castle, a pinata, pin the tail on the donkey, cake, candy and lots of tears. Miriam fell asleep just before it was time to go so Dave stayed home with her while G and I went.
She was soooooo excited. It was the first birthday party she went to where she understood the general concept and was looking forward to it all week.
The Birthday Boy!! Anne, Leo's mom, swears he's been in his terrible twos this past year but I have seen all evidence to the contrary. Leo's a sweet, quiet and thoughtful little guy. With some very serious eyebrow powers.
This is Jackson. He's Georgina's personality twin in male format. They were born one day apart. That must have something to do with it. They will hold hands and give hugs and be pretty sweet to each other until one of them wants what the other has and then it's like the Hunger Games.
All day, Leo was very helpful giving G a boost. Little scamp.
 Oh, another boost. Thanks Leo.
This is Isabella, Leo's cousin. That hair is all natural.
The slide was a huge hit. And the bouncy castle in general was a fantastic idea. Even with all the sugar pumped into these kids all afternoon they were still wiped out by bed time.
All fun and games until someone gets hurt, which apparently is once every 5 minutes in the bouncy castle. By the end, each kid had a bandaid on a finger.
Time to move the party inside.
 The pinata.
Sweet Leo and Margaret minding Georgina with a stick.
Georgina, Isabella and Margaret playing quietly in a circle. GIRLS!!
This is Oliver, Jackson's baby brother. He was born two days after Miriam and is one of my favourite babies of all time. SO much chub!!!
Jackson playing nicely with mommy. Oliver eating his glasses.
Time for the birthday cake! Jackson was way more excited about it than Leo and was pretty devastated when Leo blew out the candles instead of him. So Anne kindly lit the cake again for everyone to get a turn blowing out the candles.
G's head running into the shot because she was equally super excited. It almost looked like a zombie march, all the kids following the candle-lit cake.
The best part's the icing. Georgina would say it's the only part.
And finally presents!! Leo got lots of cool toys. Funny story about this shot: Leo is unwrapping his gift from Jackson, a set of toy cars. When Arinn, Jackson's mom, brought them home from the store, Jackson sat with them on his lap for two hours just looking at them in their box. Here you see him fist pumping and shouting "YA!"

It was a great birthday party. You set the bar pretty high Anne. Thank you!!

Walking The Car

Miriam just LOVES walking her car. It's kind of tedious for me cause she is incapable of steering it and will walk in a straight path until she hits a road block and then look for me to fix it. It's easier for me to just steer for her the whole time, hunched over the front of the car, directing her along. It makes her soo sooo soooo happy how could I not?

Here she's walked right into the fridge but doesn't mind one bit. She is just so pleased that mommy's coming to play some more.
Georgina loves to sit on the car and scoot around the house. Generally this causes a fight but on the rare occassion it works out beautifully
Bye girls! Have fun!

Trampolines and Tea Parties

The other gloomy day I strapped Miriam on and went out to cut the grass. She hates it when I do that. She doesn't mind being worn so much as she is terrified of the lawn mower. As a reward, I let her play on the trampoline for a while despite the wind storm we were caught in. She didn't mind at all.
Proof I was there. Not a photo of actual event. This was taken on a much warmer day.
"Look at me!!!"
I bet you're all admiring my well manicured lawn thinking "Love those cut lines."
No big deal.
When G got home from school we all went upstairs and enjoyed ourselves some muffinins (G's word for muffins) and tea!
Miriam is such a good little customer eating everything  Georgina serves up.
